## What it is

WeatherRing is a watch face for round Wear OS displays. The rim is today’s forecast from midnight to midnight. Colour is temperature. The hand is now.

Layers on the ring: night veil, sky glow, rain, snow, thunder, fog. Rain, snow and lightning sit on top of the sky glow — they never replace it.

The Android phone companion uses the same painter as the watch. Customize the face and always-on from the Look tab. GPS is optional.

One purchase covers the phone companion and the Wear OS watch app. You still install twice.

- Wear OS 6+: the face can be added after the watch app is installed.
- Wear OS 5: watch app + complication; add the face from the picker.

Always-on is live. Unlocked AOD only. The interactive face ignores the Always-on group. AOD toggles: temperature ring, sky glow, precipitation, time, date, temps, city.

No account. No ads. No sale of data.

## How to read

Example — not your city.

- All: Midnight → midnight. Colour is temperature. The hand is now.
- Now: From midnight to the hand is time already passed today. The inner and outer lines are the same mark.
- Temperature: Cool hours sit toward blue/violet. Warm hours sit toward orange/red.
- Night: Darker arc is night. It lifts at sunrise (~07) and returns at sunset (~19).
- Sky: Inner glow: yellow = clearer, white/grey = cloud or overcast.
- Rain: Streaks on that hour. Longer = more rain. Gaps = patchy.
- Snow: Soft white ticks — snow or ice, not rain.
- Thunder: Bolts when thunder is in the forecast, even if rain is light.
- Fog: Milky inner band — fog or dense mist. Thicker = heavier.

Low / now / high are the three numbers. 00 06 12 18 are clock hours.

## Location

GPS is optional. Search a city. Use my location is a one-shot fix and does not turn on hourly follow. Hourly follow is a separate switch, off by default, and needs Allow all the time. A saved city never uses background GPS.

## How to install

1. Install on the phone.
2. Install the same app on the watch.
3. Open once on the watch, set WeatherRing as the face.

Requires a Wear OS watch with a round display.

## What it is not

- Not for Apple Watch.
- Not for rectangular Wear OS.
- Not a smart ring.
- Not a web clone of the watch face.
- GPS is not required.
- Not an account-based product. No ads. Data is not sold.
